Bathroom Remodels in Vancouver.

Naybur Contracting handles bathroom remodels across Vancouver — Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant, Dunbar, Point Grey, East Van, and every neighborhood in between. Fixed-price quotes after a free in-home consultation. Typical Vancouver bathroom remodel: $25,000 to $75,000, three to six weeks from demo to final walk-through. Heritage homes welcome.

What we do in Vancouver

Built for Vancouver's housing stock.

Vancouver bathrooms are not generic. A 1923 Kitsilano character home has cast-iron stacks and lath-and-plaster walls. A 2008 Mount Pleasant infill has engineered floors and bathroom layouts squeezed against shared structural walls. A Marpole post-and-beam has a different framing logic than the duplex next door. We treat each one on its own merits and we don't push a template solution.

Most of our Vancouver projects fall into one of three categories: a tub-to-shower conversion in an existing footprint, a full gut-and-rebuild within the original room, or a layout reconfiguration that absorbs adjacent square footage (often a closet or hallway nook). We quote each one with the same level of detail — fixtures specified by brand, tile by SKU, every line item priced upfront.

Cost in Vancouver, honestly

$25,000 to $75,000 covers it.

Ranges reflect Naybur's 2026 Vancouver pricing. Your actual quote will be lower or higher depending on fixture spec, tile choice, and what we find behind the walls. We do not adjust after signing without your written approval.

City of Vancouver permits

We pull them. You don't deal with the city.

Almost every Vancouver bathroom remodel needs a building permit — anything that moves plumbing, opens a wall, or alters electrical loads triggers one. The City of Vancouver inspection process is reliable but slow if you don't know how to file. Naybur submits the permit application, manages the inspector visits, and closes the file at completion. You get a copy of the closed permit for your home file — which matters at resale.

If you are in a strata, we also handle the strata council letter and any building-specific paperwork. We have done bathroom remodels in Yaletown towers, False Creek mid-rises, and West End walk-ups — strata logistics are not new to us.

Common questions

FAQ.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Vancouver?

Typically $25,000 to $75,000 depending on size and fixture spec. A 5-piece master with custom tile and heated floors lands at the upper end. A guest bath refresh sits closer to the lower end. Heritage homes (pre-1940) in Kits, Dunbar, and Mount Pleasant often need an extra $4K–$10K for plumbing-stack and wiring code upgrades.

Do I need a City of Vancouver permit?

Most likely yes. Vancouver requires a permit any time you move plumbing, open the building envelope, or change electrical loads — which covers almost every full remodel. Naybur handles the permit application, inspector visits, and final close-out.

How long will the project take?

Three to six weeks from demo to final walk-through. Heritage homes can run longer if we find knob-and-tube wiring, lead solder, or undersized drains that need replacing first. We give you a fixed start and finish date with the quote.

Which Vancouver neighborhoods do you cover?

All of them. Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant, Dunbar, Point Grey, Marpole, East Vancouver, Riley Park, Cambie, Main Street corridor, West End, Yaletown, False Creek. Our office at 2184 W Broadway puts the crew within 20 minutes of any city neighborhood.

Can you work in a strata building?

Yes. We've done bathroom remodels in Yaletown towers, False Creek mid-rises, and West End walk-ups. We handle the strata council letter, hours-of-work restrictions, freight elevator scheduling, and building-specific paperwork.
